GDPR in relation to pixels

Captify has an ongoing responsibility and audit process for all new creatives for third party pixels which may expose Captify users to other data controllers or processors

We have this obligation because Captify is a data controller for users which we have relationships with, and we must abide by our obligations under GDPR in protecting those users from exposure to other processors and controllers, which may be in-compliant with GDPR

We do not want to expose our own users to data processing which may not be compliant, and we do not want to risk or expose our agency clients to any risk from being sent Captify users for whom they do not hold relevant consents for.

We may reach out to you if we discover, or are asked to implement data transferring pixels in our creative in order to ensure that:

A.) We have all the required information about the data that is captured by pixels
B.) We have all the required information about the transfer of this data to third parties or countries
C.) We have all the required information about the purposes of processing and legal basis of processing of data
D.) We have all the necessary paperwork in place to ensure safe and legal data transfer

We may highlight or flag certain pixels for periodic auditing to ensure our information is up to date at all times, so please:

– Flag and send any pixels which need to be placed in the creative to Captify in plenty of time for audit
– Send us the required information as requested by your Captify TAM in order that we may whitelist your pixels for current and future campaigns
– Comply with the questions of our teams when auditing creative/pixels to ensure a speedy resolution and compliant campaigns.

Any questions should be directed to your Captify account manager. For further information, please read Captify’s GDPR policy.
